This morning I led my monthly walk for Eastside Audubon at Juanita Bay Park,
and we had a couple of really good birds. Across the bay, by the Beach
Park, was a lone SNOW GOOSE, hanging out with some Canadas. The best find
was a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW, found on the causeway: the exact location was
opposite (lake side) the 3rd bench, in a large willow. There were several
other sparrows (Fox, Song, White-crowned, Junco) in with it.

The ducks and water birds are just starting to return: a few Green-winged
Teal, 2 Northern Shovelers, dozens of American Wigeon, a few Western Grebes,
and lots of coots. For shorebirds, could only come up with Killdeer and
Wilson's Snipe.

All in all, a very nice morning, with the beautiful weather being the
greatest surprise.
