Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday October 18. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On October 16 an adult male BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER was seen along the
trail at Cape Lookout. That day a BROWN BOOBY passed Boiler Bay.

PINE SISKINS continue to increase in western Oregon. The main movement of
CACKLING GEESE arrived October 16. Major movement are now passing along the
coast. At Boileer Bay October 16, 3000 RED-THROATED LOONS, 7000 SOOTY
SHEARWATERS, 7000 BROWN PELICANS 10,000 CALIFORNIA GULLS, 5000 HEERMANN?S
GULLS, 200 KITTIWAKES, and 6000 CASSIN?S AUKLETS passed southward.

On October 16 TROPICAL INGBIRD was at Pistol River. Two PARASITIC JAEGERS
and a LONG-TAILED JAEGER were at Seaside October 14. The next day a flock of
50 TOWNSEND?S WARBLERS WAS IN SEASIDE.

AN EARLY rough-legged hawk was at Ridgefield NWR October 14. Three SURF
SCOTERS, 970 SHOVERLERS, and 1510 COOTS remained at the Philomath Sewage
Ponds through the week. A CASSIN?S FINCH was seen October 10 on Mary?s Peak.

On October 14 five SURF SCOTERS were on Suttle Lake. A heavy SANDHILL CRANE
movement passed south through eastern Oregon October 11.
