Now I know Mountain Chickadees aren't something I would normally write home about. But I had 5 of them at McNary NWR today. For those who don't know the area it's about 50 miles from what I would consider the nearest proper habitat. I heard them calling and didn't think too much of it since I figured they were Black-capped Chickadees. But I went and looked anyway and they all had that white eyebrow. Nothing else unusual but I did have several Rough-legged Hawks.
