Today a Cooper's Hawk visited our yard and devoured a Robin:

A passing deer inadvertently scared off the hawk and then became curious about the remains of the Robin:

The hawk may have returned and made off with the remains of its prey because later when my wife and I went out to investigate there were only feathers and a bill left.? We concluded that it was a Cooper's Hawk rather than a Sharp-shinned Hawk based on size.
