Neat. This is one of our favorite birds and we have 2-3, year around. If you have food out on a regular basis and it is an Anna's, it may stay for the Winter. And yes, they are in the Sky valley at those elevations.

Subject: [Tweeters] hummingbird near foothills in sno county

I?ve had a hummingbird visiting my property recently which is a surprise since I live near the foothills in rural Snohomish county at around 450-500 ft el. I assume it?s a young Anna?s since the rufous all departed months ago (haven?t gotten a close enough look at it yet to be sure). I?m not used to seeing hummingbirds so far from the water this time of year, especially on my property?is this an anomaly or are Anna?s spreading in our area?

Thanks.
