Yesterday morning, 10/23/12, I saw a nice mixed flock of ducks at Anderson Lake SP in Jefferson County. It included 3 Canvasbacks and 3 Common Mergansers, along with about 52 Ring-necked Ducks, 23 Buffleheads, 15 American Wigeon, 6 Greater Scaup, and 4 Northern Pintails. Although I've seen them in nearby counties, and I'm sure they've been around here, these were the first Canvasbacks I've seen in Jefferson County.
