Hi, Tweets, This isn't a rare bird, like so many I'm reading about. But,
for the Waterville Plateau in late Oct. it is unusual to have seen a group
of about 140 Gray-Crowned Rosy Finches. We had had rain earlier today,
and up on Badger Mtn., snow. I know even higher elevations have had up to
a foot of snow, so maybe it helped drive them down our way. Sometimes I
go all winter before I see just a few of these lovely birds. Enjoy all
