Joan Bird and I wrapped up a day
of birding with a drive down Boe Road. There's a new parking area at the end, with 2 gates that delimit the preserve. As we pulled in, immediately on the left there is a brushy hedgerow from which about 20 sparrows were going back and forth to the newly seeded grass at the edge of the parking. Amonst the golden crowned, white crowned and song was a first-winter Harris's
Sparrow.
