HI ALL:
I joined the mad rush of birders to the WA coast for the recent rarity
parade there. The NORTHERN WHEATEAR and COMMON EIDER (both lifers for me!)
were still at Westport. Also had a Palm Warbler at the Wheatear spot.
Tried for the Wilson's Plover at Grayland Beach State Park without any
luck (someone else did report it later). Did have two Snowy Plovers. Then
headed to Tokeland and found the BAR-TAILED GODWIT with the Marbled
Godwits. Also had 9 WILLETS and 1 CLARK'S GREBE. Then stopped at Hoquim
Sewage Plant for the reported TROPICAL KINGBIRD which was still there.
Unfortunately it flew off to the north before other birders could see it.
