Today, 10/30/2012, I found another Franklin's Gull, possibly the same one I
found on 10/20/2012 at Carrie Blake Park in Sequim. This bird was in a farm
field along with many "Olympic", Mew, Ring-billed and California Gulls near
the intersection of Schmuck Rd. & Port Williams Rd. in Sequim. I tried for
a photo but was unable to get a decent one before the bird flew. At Marlyn
Nelson County Park at Port Williams, I had my FOTS Common Goldeneye. Please
note: I use "FOTS" (First Of The Season) because, having moved from
Florida, "FOS" was the abbreviation for the Florida Ornithological Society.
Thus, FOTS is my abbreviation of choice. At 3 Crabs, there were at least
two Eurasian Wigeons among the several thousand AMWIs. A Peregrine Falcon
was perched on a snag near Helen's Pond. Please note my new email address:
