Thanks to Stefan Schlick, I must recognize my misidentification of Surfbirds
at Point Brown, Ocean Shores. I called them Rock Sandpipers. Yikes. I've got
to get it together.

Friday?

I was at Oyehut from about 1:30 to 4:00 pm and didn't find it. No one I
talked to had seen it yesterday. I was pleased to see the Buff-breasted
Sandpiper, many Pectoral Sandpipers, lots of Peregrine Falcon action, and
some Red-necked Phalaropes. The place is alive.

At the Point Brown jetty, a number of Wandering Tattlers, quite a few Rock
Sandpipers, Black Turnstones and one Ruddy Turnstone. The Sooty Shearwaters
were quite a long way out but the numbers are impressive.
