Went to Westhaven St Park this weekend and did a little fishing and birding on the S. Jetty. Brown Pelicans and Heermans' gulls were the most common avian sight. Also present were a lot of other gulls of which I did not attempt to identify... At least 2 female harliquin, scoters in the distance, a few cormorant sp. One alcid (sp).. Probably a dozen or so wandering tattler were on the jetty as well as a few black turnstones, There were fly by's of other shore birds but too quick for an ID. Also saw harbor seals, sea lion and some ling cod, cabezon and rock greenling for the fish and mammal count.

Recently notable a Peregrine falcon was seen from my yard in Crown Hill and the resident Coopers hawk is still around.
