I am very new to this mailing list and watching birds. But I have a couple of big empty lots outside my office window and have become?fascinated?watching the birds. We have several Red Tails in our area. When the fields are mowed we get balled eagles like clockwork. And just last week for the first time for me I saw some Turkey Vultures in the fields.

Anyway, this Red Tail landed on our roof, they usually are in the trees, or on the lamp posts, but this guy landed on the corner of our building twice today. He wasn't very high up either, the photos I took, I don't have a zoom lens or anything, he was about 6 feet above us and didn't seem bothered to much by several of us looking up at him/her. (Im not good enough to know the difference yet)

I understand a Red Tail isn't some rare bird to see in these parts. But it's my best photo of a bird to date and he was great to see.

Hope I'm sending this to the right place to have it part of the daily email that goes out, if not, then my bad.
