Hello Tweeters,

I made the long trip to Walla Walla on Wednesday.
I left Tacoma at 5.00 A M and arrived at 11,00AM At Bennington Lake.I found
the Wilson Plover across on the Island on the Mudflats ,walking with the
Killdeer,he walked slow and did not kept up with the with the Plovers who
eventually flying off.
I had great looks at the Wilson Plover walking down the trail to the beach
right across where the bird was.Great looks in my scope using the 30 power
lens,but to far taken any photos.After 2 hours checking out the area came
back and could not see or find this plover but after searching I saw him
hunker down on the mud in a hole seeing only the head and breast,he seems to
be awake his eyes where open.But I SAW HIM EARLIER HE WALKED KIND OF SLOW
WITH A LIMP.I watched this bird like this for 3 hours
and he would not even moved inch,telling me that probable his life was
coming to an end ,he would not had the strength trying to leave the area.I
been watching this behavior on other Birds and died.This trip was design
strictly for 1 day trip and the heat was in this dusty parking Lot did not
make is comfortable.I am happy to say (I SAW THIS WILSON PLOVER )there WAS
NO OTHER BIRDER PRESENCE LEAVING AT 3.00 PM
