Hello,
I spent the day in Pend Oreille County. Here are some of the better birds I
saw:
Kalispell Indian Reservation:,Barrow's Goldenye, HORNED GREBE, Greater and
Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral and Baird's Sandpipers, Merlin, Cooper's Hawk,
American Pipit, Orange crowned Warbler, Lincoln's Sparrow.
Calispell Lake: American Pipit, Lincoln's Sparrow, Red Crossbills, Evening
Grosbeaks, Pygmy Nuthatch
McKenzie Slough (outflow from Calispell lake, bridge on Mckenzie Rd):
American Pipit, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpiper, STILT
SANDPIPER.
I also ran into Allen Richards, who found a GOLDEN CROWNED SPARROW just
north of the Calispell Creek Bridge. Very nice bird.
Blessings
