Tweeters, Just returned from several days of good birding, Wed. and Thur. of which with John Gatchet, and wanted to share the highlights. Wed. morning the RUFF at the Hoquiam STP continued. We found a juv. SABINE'S GULL in Wahkiakum Co. (which I believe is a "County First" for Wahkiakum) at Julia Butler Hansen NWR. The gull was floating and feeding in the Columbia River just off of Steamboat Slough Rd. on Thur. morning. I was on the Pelagic Trip out of Westport today where the highlights were a LAYSAN ALBATROSS, a BULLER'S SHEARWATER, a FLESH-FOOTED SHEARWATER and many SKUAS. Michael WillisonStanwood
