Hi all -
No major rarities, but I figured it might be helpful for anyone headed out there tomorrow.

There are definitely migrants about, but not in huge numbers yet:

At Washtucna [adams county] - Michael Hobbs, Alan Richards & I saw:

American Redstart - presumably the same one present for a while
Fox Sparrows - 2 near-Red or Red or Altvagans [we didn't get great looks]
Common Yellowthroat [code 3 in Adams]
Orange-crowned Warbler [several], Yellow Warbler [maybe 1], Wilsons [several], Yellow-rumped -not many here
Cassin's Vireo a couple
Calliope Hummingbird - 1
RC Kinglets - beginning to move through
empids - Pac-Slope, Hammonds, probable Gray, several others -- though fewer than last weekend

Down at Lyons Ferry[ Franklin Co], Michael & I met up with the Dennys, who lined up the birds for us.
Lyons Ferry was much birder than Washtucna today --
Red-eyed Vireo - 1
several sharply marked Cassin's Vireos [raising dreams of Blue-headed, but nothing close yet]]

2 Common Yellowthroats [code 4 in Franklin]
a couple Yellow Warblers
many Orange-crowned Warblers
Townsend's Warblers - several
many many Yellow-rumped Warblers,
White-throated Sparrow & Fox Sparrow - Michael found one of each on the island
Chipping Sparrows -a couple flocks
Barn & Great Horned Owl

Having come across Common Yellowthroats in Adams & Franklin, I headed into Garfield [code 5], where one popped right up at the mouth of Deadman Creek [Central Ferry] , and then over to Asotin Co, [code 4] where sure enough one or two came right out at the mouth of Alpowa Creek.

Who knows what tomorrow will have on offer?
