We hauled the kids up to Hart's Pass and the Tatie Peak area of the
Pacific Crest Trail over the weekend. Highlights:

Lots of raptors:
GOLDEN EAGLE below Slate Peak
NORTHERN GOSHAWK along PC trail above Meadows campground
MERLIN at Meadows campground
SHARP-SHINNED HAWK near Tatie peak on PC trail
~10 RED-TAILED HAWK everywhere

A pair of PINE GROSBEAKs below Tatie peak and a pair of RED CROSSBILLs
at Mazama all gave us great views.

Otherwise the area was teeming with YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERs, DARK-EYED
JUNCOs, MOUNTAIN CHICKADEEs, BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEEs, WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROWs, COMMON RAVENs, RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES and GRAY JAYs. It was
quite busy for a fairly sparse environment.
