Subject: [Tweeters] RFI: Olympia Long-billed Curlews

The first message I saw, from Shep Thorp, indicated that Dick Logan may have
been the first birder to see a Curlew here (prior to August 15th) and his
photographs were examined by Dennis Paulson and determined to be of a
juvenile. So, I think it's safe to say that the shorter-billed bird was the
first Curlew seen and possibly arrived ahead of the longer-billed bird.

Hello, just curious, as at first only one Long-billed Curlew was reported in
Olympia, then two, and now one again. Both were obviously different than the
other, so my question is for those of you who saw the one early on, which
one was first, the longer billed one or the shorter billed?
