Hi Tweeters,

Bill Byers was over at Discovery Park this morning. He (and
others) did see the two Lewis Woodpeckers at the same location in the snags
near the site of the former PX. He also saw a mixed flock of small birds,
including Black-throated Gray Warbler and Orange-crowned Warblers next to
the South Parking Lot, an Osprey enjoying a large fish in the same area as
the LEWO (later on), a flock of Evening Grosbeaks, and a Cooper's Hawk,
reputed to have chased the woodpeckers,. Sounds like a good morning's
birding! A link to a picture of one of the LEWOs is below.
