My best bird of today while I was scouting for a Skamania Big Day attempt, was a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK at Doetsch Pond on Beacon Rock State Park. This is the pond by the bridge at the east end of Skamania Landing, the bird was in the trees next to the heavy equipment there. The was visible and vocal, this was a new Skamania County bird for me.
