The two Lewis Woodpeckers were still in Discovery Park this morning at 11am. They represent the 215th species on my Discovery Park List. So thanks to the Slettebacks and Penny for the heads-up. A little quick math tells me that I am adding new species at the rate of 1.6 a year, while each year I miss one or two great species seen by other observant birders! With more freshwater perhaps another 8 or 9 could be added to that list. But I am sure that Matt and Michael at Marymoor would say the same about having saltwater available!!
When I got back to the house there was a stack of Hawks in Flight by Dunne,Sibley and Sutton waiting for you Falcon Research Group obligates.
