Please help me identify this wee guy. We were coming home from football/volleyball practice and pulled up to open our gate when my 10 year old says ?Mom, there?s a strange bird on the fence.? I looked and I just have no experience identifying owls. He cooperated for 10 pictures, but the sun was blaring wrong, so the best one I have is linked here. I parked the car and tried to go back but he?d flown... He was about 6 to 7 inches big, very very tiny maybe robin size.
