Hi tweets
After being out of town 10 days ,and reading RUFFdaily on tweeters, I buzzed up to check for this wonderful bird.
( now the 3 rd ruff I've seen in the vicinity.the others at nature conservancy and boe road some years ago.)
This ruff was at the south edge of the first ,east , pond. .very close.Wish I had a bigger lens than 300.It seemed rather lost, looking around ,wondering where the Russian speaking shorebirds were!
Only others there were 2 Killdeer, 1 pectoral, 1 western.
Eventually they all flew away .
