I was surprised earlier this month to have the Fox Sparrows return to the yard on the 12th and the Golden-crowned Sparrows on the 18th of September when the usual arrival has been about the first of October. But this morning I was really surprised to see a Varied Thrush which isn?t usual until mid-November.
