hello everyone,

i just published a little story about panamanian poison dart frogs --
i know, they're not birds, but many birders who visit panama consider
themselves lucky if they can observe these tiny jewels of the forest.
for that reason, i thought you might enjoy reading this story about
their natural history. in short, a research team from Tulane found
that female strawberry poison dart frogs have distinct preferences for
mates with particular colours, and this may be a first step in the
process of speciation:
