The latest Union Bay Watch blog contains an encounter with the least seen member of the heron family (at least around Union Bay).
This bird is kind of like the opposite of a well-behaved child, it is usually heard not seen.
Surprisingly, at other times it can be very easy to see due to a rather unique and peculiar behavior. See this member of the heron family at:
