Yost Park continues to pick up the slack?in the Edmonds avian action?until the winter migrants return to the?marsh and marina.?? Sunday (9/30) I photographed a pileated woodpecker as well as a hydrid yellow/red shafted male northern flicker.? I photographed a similar hybrid last year at the Pt. Edwards walkway and?Willow Creek fish hatchery.???The flicker was digging in the same?stump where I photographed the pileated woodpecker last week.?
