Subject: [Tweeters] Neah Bay, Sunday

Last Sunday was cold, wet, and birdless at Neah Bay This Sunday was much
better...
Robins, Varied Thrushes and Ruby-crowned Kinglets were in numbers and
clearly on the move. Unusual birds included 5 MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS, 1 SAY'S
PHOEBE, the continuing SWAMP SPARROW and Northern Shrike, Northern Harrier,
and American Kestrel.
This is when the AMERICAN HERRING GULLS pass through northwards, and there
was a fabulous selection of ages and plumages, along with a very pale
Thayers / Kumlien's (perhaps the same one Vincent saw?) and an odd gull
that I'm trying to make into something like a Slaty-backed... It's hard to
find time to analyze all of the photos.
Cheers
