For the first time in months, swans were gone from the local fields near Sequim where they over-winter. We'll miss their presence and distinct, low calls until they return next November. Safe journey to the big guys!

The 30 overwintering White-fronted Geese were absent for the first time last night (April 1) and could be heading north too.
