The Coos Bay COMMON EIDER and YELLOW-BILLED LOON, and the Portland OVENBIRD

in Beaverton. The TUFTED DUCK north of Newberg continues to be seen.

Migrants during the week included ROUGH-WINGED, CLIFF, and BARN SWALLOWS and
PURPLE MARTINS. ORANGE-CROWNED and BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS, and
YELLOWTHROATS. An unusual movement of EARED GREBES west of the Cascades
brought 48 at Philomath, five at Baskett Slough NWR, 15 at the Tualatin NWR,
and 10 at the Fernhill Wetlands.

A movement of at least 450 KITTIWAKES passed Depoe Bay March 31. Also there
that day were 34 ANCIENT MURRELETS, 11 PARAKEET AUKLETS, two CASSIN?S
AUKLETS, and 25 RHINOCEROS AUKLETS. A late MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE was at Coos
Bay March 31. On April 3 a FERRUGINOUS HAWK was over Sandlake, south of
Tillamook. On March 28 the SNOW BUNTING and ROCK SANDPIPER were still on
Barview Jetty at Tillamook Bay.

The sparrow flocks along Rentenaar Road on Sauvie Island continue. On March
29 a SAY?S PHOEBE was on the Island. A male BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK was
reported March 26 in Northwest Portland. A male CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD is now
coming to a Silverton feeder. A male COSTA?S HUMMMINGBIRD was seen March 29
at an Eugene feeder, as was a MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE. During the week eight
BLACK-NECKED STILTS and six WHITE PELICANS were at Fern Ridge Reservoir.

On march 28 two BLACK-NECKED STILTS and two LESSER YELLOWLEGS were at
Houston Lake near Powell Butte. That day 240 STILTS and 24 MARBLED GODWITS
were at Lower Klamath NWR.

That?s it for this week.
