Not sure what is meant by place name, but I counted 21 lakes named after birds using the following link:
?
http://www.washingtonlakes.com/LakeIndex.aspx
?
Grant county has seven lakes with bird names.? No other county has more than 2.? I won't swear by these results because going through all of those lakes was rather boring.? There were 41 pages of lakes and almost every page resulted in the same Silverado ad popping up.
?
Then there is Ravensdale, White Swan, Martin Creek, Swan Creek, Ptarmigan Peak, Cardinal Peak and Martin Peak (twice).
?
Why did I do this?? Well, I am almost done with the book that I am reading and it beats watching tv.
