Was pleasantly surprised this morning to find a male and female Red Crossbill at the sunflower seed feeder. Turned out there were four others feeding on the ground below the feeder for six total, 2 male and 4 female. This is the first time I have seen them in my backyard since 2002. They were just in time to qualify for inclusion in the last week of Project Feeder Watch. Even got a good photo to include.
