The River ?S? Unit of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge will be
closed for the entire day of Tuesday, April 16, 2013 for road repairs and
other recurring maintenance. The closure will allow staff to safely operate
heavy equipment along the auto tour route while repairing potholes and
grading the road surface. The River ?S? Unit will reopen at 7:00 am on
Wednesday, April 17, 2013 for visitation. During this closure, the Carty
Unit will be open as an alternate public use destination.
