A Red-naped Sapsucker was spotted and photographed a couple of days ago
in Battlepoint Park on Bainbridge Island, likely the first record for
that species in Kitsap County. The bird was seen at about the midpoint
of the Forest to Sky Trail. The trail is a little less than a mile long.
