I am trying to get a pair of binoculars to a friend in Costa Rica. He lives in San Luis, the valley just below Monteverde (a 5-10 minute car ride below town) and I was wondering if anyone on Tweeters was planning a trip to this area in the next few months. I can also recommend him as the best bird guide I have ever had! He was able to show us Long-tailed Manakin, Bellbird, Bicolored Hawk, Ornate Hawk Eagles, and other rarities. His ability to get the scope on the bird in an instant is amazing as well, of course, as his knowledge base.
