Hi Tweets,

I was surprised today to hear at least one COMMON RAVEN, possibly two, calling loudly (is there any other way?) and flying around quite a bit in the central and southern parts of Lincoln Park. It would seem to sit in one tree for perhaps 5-10 minutes, then fly around for several minutes, then perch for another period before flying again. It was continually harassed by crows. I believe I heard a second one calling near the first one, but am not certain.

>From the dates reported below, this is the latest I've encountered them in the park.

Cheers,
Trileigh

Subject: Common Ravens in Lincoln Park

Hello Tweets,

On Tuesday 2/6, I confirmed two Common Ravens in Lincoln Park, West Seattle. They were restless, flying around, calling, and interacting quite a bit. They've been there for several days now.

Looking at my past records, I see that I saw ravens briefly in midwinter in several past years:

* Jan 14 2009
* Feb 28 2010
* Mar 10-April 5 2012
* Feb 6 2013

Wonder where they come from, and where they go after Lincoln Park?

Good birding,
Trileigh
