My apologies and empathy to all birders near and far. As a WOS board member and field trip leader, I struggled as well to register between 12:00-12:30am and 4:30-5:00am for my mother and myself to attend, and discovered at 5:30am I was finally able to register. I guess when all the racing pigeons are released from a new coop at once, there are bound to be some injuries. Not to mention some exhausted and beyond irate birders. Perhaps a lottery style in the future would work better as a few have suggested? Regardless, the board and volunteers of WOS are disappointed registration did not run smoothly for ALL birders interested in attending. Furthermore, I anticipate the same working hard to determine the causes of our troubles and fixing them for future registrations. Please feel welcome to let myself or any member of the WOS organization know your concerns and we will do our best to help resolve the issues. I greatly appreciate WOS member's enthusiasm and passion for sharing knowledge about birds, bird life and bird behavior in our wonderful state.
