Looks like I am going to have an extra day somewhere between Fes and
Casablanca after a very brief work-related trip to Morocco next week. Any
suggestions for good birding in the area?

I will also have a decent layover in Frankfurt - any suggestions for
getting out of the airport for a few hours of birding nearby?
