Thanks to those of you who have expressed understanding about the problems with registration for our annual WOS conference. As fellow board member Shep Thorp mentioned, we (the board) will be discussing the situation and work to make improvements.

There is no perfect system. So, your patience and understanding is helpful. Trust that we do sympathize and completely understand your frustration. Even many of us board members failed to get into the field trips we had hoped to join.

Also, in the grand scheme, especially in light of today's horrific event in Boston, perhaps a bit of perspective will help. It is a birding conference. Important, yes, but maybe we can now move on and try to look forward to the fun of birding in Okanogan county and enjoy it for what it is.
