Tweeters,

I spent 6:30-9:30 this morning on my Battle Ground, Clark County back deck
enjoying a little Spring migration with the following results:

Yellow-rumped Warbler 131 (all that I could identify were Audubon's - all
flying north)
Orange-crowned Warbler 12
Common Yellowthroat 2
Townsend's Warbler 2
Red-breasted Nuthatch 1 (only my second Spring yard sighting)
Eurasian Collared Dove 1
Band-tailed Pigeon 1
Common Merganser 4 (second record for the yard)
Barn Swallow - first of season for the yard

Raptors included:

Peregrine 2
Bald Eagle 1
Cooper's Hawk 1 (one in courtship/display flight and one possible migrant)
Red-tailed Hawk 10 (4 pairs and possibly two migrants)

7 new year yard birds for the day.

Keep your eyes and ears skyward!

Jim
