Tried to get some birding in before the big 15K run that used a majority of the park's trails. Fortunately, the runners weren't out too early, as a Barn Owl was visible in the trees near the Santos Place box. Other sightings of interest ?

The Anna's chicks near the tennis courts have fledged while a new nest has Mom sitting on eggs on Promontory Point. The Bushtit nest on the point has been pillaged. A pair of Belted Kingfisher seem to be spending a lot of time at ?. Kingfisher Basin.

Not as many Yellow-rumped Warblers but the Myrtle continues singing at Promontory Pond. Also at Prom Pond was an Orange-crowned Warbler, several Common Yellowthroat, nest-making Marsh Wrens, and a singing Lincoln's Sparrow.

Very few ducks off the beach but there were Common Loon, Horned and Red-necked Grebe, all in breeding plumage.

The only other bird of note was a very vocal Eurasian Collared Dove. Only my second sighting in the park, this bird could be heard half-way across the park.
