Prompted by Ian Paulsen's post and in response to the several people who have asked me about HBW Volume 17: this book has been variously described as the Supplement, the Index or the Illustrated Checklist. Whatever it actually turns out to be, it is not now expected to be available until late Summer or early Fall. All the other 16 volumes are still available and the third volume of the Handbook of the Mammals of the World is expected to reach the US shortly.
