Hey tweets!

I got out at sunrise for about 30 minutes of birding at Boeing ponds today. There were nine shorebird species there that I could find:

Solitary sandpipers: 2
Lesser yellowlegs: 3
Greater yellowlegs: 2
Long-billed dowitcher: 4
Pectoral sandpiper: 1
Least sandpiper: 7
Killdeer: 4
Semipalmated plover: 1
Spotted sandpiper: 1

A green heron was also skulking around at the edge of the pond... And at least one photographer was skulking around in the mud, stirring up the shorebirds a bit. Couldn't quite figure out why, as the birds were well lit and visible from the road... Sigh........

Happy birding!
