Clarice and I went to see the Puyallup grackle at Sam Peach Park, which is at 1621 10th. Ave. NW. We
were joined by Michael Brown. Both of us got photos, Michael will post his, mine available by email if
anyone contacts me to check.

Agree with Gary Sogard on ID, Great Tailed Grackle. ID by: overall bird length (body + tail) same as
surrounding crows, but much thinner body. tail longer than body. overall purplish sheen (bird is a male).
light, yellowish eyes. no bronzy color. intimdated the crows with a display of throwing back his head (which
is pretty typical grackle language). All three of us very familiar with the species.Jerry Broadus
