Tweets ? yesterday was a gorgeous summer day, and was distinctly birdier than last week. Still not huge numbers of species, but there some post-breeding movements of birds noticeable.

Highlights:

California Gull About 10 at 6 a.m.
Barn Owl At least 2, East Meadow
Black Swift Several over the park despite the nice weather
Rufous Hummingbird One in Pea Patch
Or.-crowned Warbler One, SW corner of Dog Meadow
Common Yellowthroat Abundant
Yellow Warbler Male, singing, another feeding young
Bl.-thr. Gray Warbler SW corner of Dog Meadow, + Rowing Club
Wilson?s Warbler SW corner of Dog Meadow

We had 54 species on the 8th, and just 50 on the 1st, but the two week total was 63 species!
