I just received this message from Bob Derting from Tricities - he included a photo which I put on my flickr site but do not have a name of the photographer. I don't remember the last date the Snowy Owl was seen near Tekoa but it was summering as well.

Hi Mike and MerryLynn,

There was a Snowy owl seen and photographed on the Hanford Site this morning. A friend sent me the photo and then called me. He said that the crew that came across this owl had several more photos of it.
