Subject: [Tweeters] Levee Pond Eastern Kingbird not found

I spent an hour from 2pm to 3pm at the pond on Monday. I couldn?t find any tall snags like the Kingbird prefers to do his Flycatcher thing, but it was a great site, especially for shorebirds (I saw a long-billed dowitcher, spotted sandpiper and a couple of killdeer).

Directions: Take River Rd from I-5 about half-way to Puyallup. About the only signal light on that stretch is to cross the Puyallup River bridge at 66th. Cross that bridge, then turn left onto Levee Rd. Then take the first right onto 70th, then the first right onto 48th. Take 48th to just past the prefab homes where there is a nice wide gravel road unsigned that takes you to the dock and the pond. There is a quarter mile paved path around the lake.
