I feel as though I have to stand up and defend P.A.W.S in Lynnwood. I have
lived in Ocean Shores for nearly 15 years and have had several instances
when PAWS was the only option for injured wild creatures. Their intent is
as Kevin Mack stated...to rehab and release whenever possible. Out here on
the beach we have few options for injured animals or birds. The only two I
have had any contact with are PAWS and the Wildlife Center of the North
Coast (Astoria area). Both do the very best they can. Each patient is
important, and human contact is kept to a minimum to reduce stress.
