Chase trips are designed specifically to ?chase? the latest rarity in Washington. Participants sign up in advance with the knowledge that they will have an excellent opportunity to see the newest ?hot? bird with the fellowship and carpooling advantages of a WOS field trip.

The leaders will have regional discretion on destinations. For example if the leader is located in western Washington, the chase will occur within a reasonable distance from the leader?s origin.

Trips will be limited to 11 WOS members. If no current rarity has been reported, the trip will still occur and the destination will be at the discretion of the leader, dictated by season, region, and weather.
